Oregon Administrator Scholars Program
As Oregon’s K-12 student population becomes more ethnically and linguistically diverse, our school administrative and leadership workforce needs to better mirror the demographics of the students in our schools. The EAC and Oregon's Teacher Standards and Practices Commission have partnered to establish the Oregon Administrator Scholars Program to address financial barriers that pose challenges for ethnically and linguistically diverse candidates pursuing their administrative license towards becoming a school administrator or district leader in Oregon.
The Oregon Administrator Scholars Program (OASP) offers scholarships up to a maximum of $10,000 for each academic year, up to two years, for racially, ethnically, or linguistically diverse administrator candidates accepted and enrolled in a TSPC-approved administrator program. The scholarships may be used to pay for classes, fees, and related costs.
Scholarship Application Dates, complete with sponsorship by the requisite Educator Preparation Provider (EPP, aka college or university) are below:
August 1 -30, 2023
Nov 1 - 29, 2023
March 1 - 29, 2024
July 1 - 31, 2024
Applicants must be approved or certified by the EPP in order to receive these scholarships.
